Ever wonder how Devils Lake was formed? Geology classes at SPHS recently made a large physical model to demonstrate how a variety of geological features were created through water, weather, and time. They manipulated the rocks, gravel, water and sand to replicate how these unique features were formed. Way to get dirty and learn!
High School Business Concepts students gave 'Shark Tank'-style pitches to community members last week as part of a business development project. Thank you to the community members for taking the time to help with this project.

Sauk Prairie High School is celebrating! The solar panels installed on the roof of the building are making power! The solar power will generate enough energy to offset the power use of the full River Arts Center. Thanks to Sauk Prairie Solar Schools, our local donors and Hammond Climate Solutions Foundation for helping us reach this goal.

Our new Math in the Trades class had an awesome visit today from Karli, one of the Westphal Electric team members installing the new solar panels on the SPHS roof. She took time to give a few examples of how electricians use math in their everyday work and answered great questions from our students. Thanks to Karli and Westphal for tremendous sessions today! Work in another trade? Contact us on how you can help our students learn about math in your profession. #togetherwelearn

High School students in Large Animal Health and Nutrition with Mr. Mack have been learning about cattle diseases and animal ear tagging.
Students performed California Mastitis Tests comparing milk samples to see what the somatic cell counts (scc) were. Dr. Leah Secord, a Sauk Prairie alum and veterinarian at Waunakee Veterinary Clinic, collected the samples.
Students also learned how to properly tag an animal ear. They were given different tags and had to tag the ear in the correct space.
This class time was a great example of hands on learning of skills and knowledge that are used regularly on farms.
Thank you Dr. Secord for being a part of our students' learning ☺️
Congratulations our SPHS Badger Conference Top Scholars!
