Representative Karen DeSanto stopped by our Ag & Natural Resources WI Wildlife Management class today! 🦌🌲
We’ve been learning what wildlife management really means and how federal laws shape our natural resources. Students took it a step further by writing letters of concern to their legislators ✍️📬—and Rep. DeSanto came in person to hear them out!
Lots of great conversations happened, and who knows… some of our ideas might even make their way to the Capitol in Madison! 🏛️🔥

Last week, Biology students went back in time to the 1950s, channeling their inner Watson, Crick, and Franklin as they modeled the structure of DNA! Using clues and facts available back then, they pieced together the famous double helix — one twist at a time! 🧪

The Sauk Prairie High School National Honor Society chapter earned the Pillar Award for Overall Excellence by demonstrating an exceptional commitment to service, leadership, character, and scholarship.
Members contributed thousands of volunteer hours through diverse initiatives, including a highly successful Giving Tree Week that raised $6,000 for a local shelter.
The chapter fostered leadership by empowering students to chair committees and spearhead projects, while simultaneously cultivating character through acts of kindness like writing cards for hospital patients.
Additionally, the students upheld the pillar of scholarship by providing academic tutoring and mentorship to peers. These collective efforts showcase how the chapter's dedication has made a tangible and lasting impact on their school and the broader community.
The NHS Chapter Pillar Awards are prestigious recognitions to celebrate the outstanding achievements of NHS chapters across the country.

For student drop-off and pick-up, please use Entrance 3 (Grand Ave) or Entrance 4 (13th St.) Both routes connect around the athletic parking lot, making for a smooth, hassle-free way in and out. Look for the new signs!
Please avoid the bus lot and use these entrances to help our bus riders stay safe and keep traffic flowing smoothly between the high school and middle school.
Thanks for working with us to keep everyone safe and on time! #WeSoarTogether

Every Friday, Ms. Johnson's environmental science classes head outside to explore the school’s detention pond. What was once just for drainage is now a hands-on learning space. Students observe nature, from animals and insects to weather and changing colors, all while learning how to protect and care for the environment.
